Hello, here is Yaoyang Xu, whose home page at Institute of urban environment (IUE, CAS) would like to show you what this guy did from past experience and works for next step. This guy joined in IUE at the end of January, and now serves as research professor, graduate supervisor and principal investigator with heading the team work of aquatic/watershed ecology. During ten years for which this guy has been with earning a doctorate degree and lecturing college/graduate student in China as well as experiencing postdoc research in USA, he was running in a funny way along which this guy engages to convince research and management communities with several practicable approaches of how several well-known theories in ecology (e.g. Spatial synchrony, Co-occurrence network, Population principle and Law of the minimum) could be applied powerfully for understanding Damming-impacted ecosystem processes, modeling Algal-based biofuel sustainability and managing Climate-driven lake eutrophication. This guy just passed a traffic-green light at the cross of his academic way, and keeps running toward the same direction, with merging his research experience into recent interests about how the couple of fundamental ecology and other emerging disciplines could enhance the integration of observation design, model development and knowledge accumulation specified to the data-driven precision management of aquatic/watershed ecosystems interacted by both of human activity (e.g. urbanization) and climate variability (e.g. extreme events).
