Influence of urban land use patterns on total amount of heavy metals accumulated
Update time: 2009-09-22 AUTHOR:

Project Title: Influence of urban land use patterns on total amount of heavy metals accumulated in sediments in urban waterbody

Project Type: National Natural Science Foundation

Project No.: 40901263

Project Awardee: Li Guilin

Project Abstract: This project focuses on the influence of urban land use patterns on heavy metal accumulation in sediment in urban aquatic systems in China. Through RS/GIS analysis of satellite image, non-

point source pollution loading model,210Pb/137Cs Isotope Dating and sediment sampling and analyzing, mathematic modelling between urban land use patterns and accumulative amount of heavy metals in sediments is acquired based on data from land use patterns and sediment core sectioning. The study can both support to better control urban nonpoint source water pollution and is helpful to further understand geochemical recycling of heavy metal in urban environment.

Period of Project: 2010.01-2012.12

Fund of Project: 200,000 RMB
