Project Abstract: Analyzing the effect of the living quarters’ configuration changing on urban metabolism process and efficiency and using the Xiamen as example, this project will explore the research on urban metabolism process and efficiency, illustrating the process of urban metabolism and excavating the character and efficiency of urban metabolism. Moreover technical approaches of simulating and controlling the urban metabolism process will be established. Scientific decision-making methods and polices on city planning and management will be put forward.
