Project Title: The Report of Strategic Research on the Ecological Environment Academic Development Roadmap Until 2050

Research Objective: This research is going to use literature investigation, comparative analysis, modeling forecast, expert consultation and other methods, on the one hand, by analyzing the historical and the current condition of social economic development of China, predict the social economic development for the next 50 years, and explore the human social development needs from ecological and environment academic field. On the other hand, by vertically comparing the history of ecological and environment academic development in China, and horizontally comparing its global development among different nations, in addition of special case analysis, search for the development pattern of China’s ecological and environment academic advancement, as well as make prediction of its trend. At last, by synthesize the social needs and the development pattern, through study and discussion, establish the ecological environment academic development roadmap of China for the next 50 years or more, accompany with the specifically pointed technical instructions and ensuring measures for the successful implementation. The achievement of this research is going to provide scientific support for China’s future ecological and environment academic development, also adding decision making references for environment planning and environment treatment.
