Project Abstract: The project will investigate the changes of representative urban soils and analyze the eco-environmental stress effects during the process of rapid urbanization in Xiamen. Ke research contents include: 1) Effects of urbanization on the quantity and quality of urban soils, 2) Eco-environmental impacts of soil changes in urban areas, especially on plants and soil microbial communities, 3) establishment of an indicator system for risk assessment of urban soils, based on pollutant bioavailability.
