Project Abstract: The project applies RS, GIS, SD and other methods to the investigation, analyses the current situation and evolutive character of ecological system synthetically and points out some eco-environmental problems in the developing process in Jimei district of Xiamen. On the basis of local characters, a research is conducted on ecological construction and its key technology, explored the relationship between land use and ecological construction and developed an urban ecological planning pattern that is adapted to local natural environment and culture. The project puts forward a new thought on urban development and construction which is conditioned by resource and environment，as well as provides technical support for the harmonious relation among natural environment, cultural preservation and socioeconomic development.
