CAS Visiting Professor Stephen Chapman delivered a speech entitled “Investigating shifts in fungal population in a forest growth experiment” on April 2, 2014. Afterwards, he shared his rich research experience by exchanging and discussing ideas with all attendees.
Professor Stephen Chapman is from the James Hutton Research Institute and his research direction aims to understand microbial processes of elemental cycling in plant-soil-microorganism system. So far, he has published over 75 papers in international top journals such as Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, Environmental Microbiology, Global Change Biology, Ecology, Journal of Ecology and Environmental Science & Technology.
