Invited by the Key Lab of Urban Environement and Health, Institute of Urban Environment, Professor Senjie Lin of Univversity of Connecticut visited IUE on Jan 13, 2011 and made a speech on " Dinoflagellates and genomics: ecological and environmental perspectives", focusing on the perspective of dinoflagellates and genomics research in ecologic and environment fields. Researchers and postgraduates held a heated discussion on the topic. Afterwards Professor Lin visited the institute and communicated with relevant researchers.

Professor Lin is an outstanding expert majoring in molecular biology research on plankton. He has published more than 50 academic thesis on some magazines such as PNAS, MBE, L&O, AME, etc.
