| Four HK PolyU Profs. awarded as IUE researchers |
Based on the joint agreement between IUE and HK PolyU , Prof. Li Xiangdong,Li Xiangzhong, Pan Zhisheng and Li Shuncheng of HK PolyU were appointed as researchers of IUE. Prof.Zhao Jingzhu, Director of IUE awarded certificates to the four professors on June 16,2009. Prof.Li Shuncheng reported on testing, evaluation and control of air pollution. Research groups of IUE had an in-depth discussion with professors of HK PolyU , covering topics such as how to find the research subjects, lab construction and student training, followed by an intention of joint research and postgraduates training.
HK PolyU is one of the top global institutes of civil engineer and environment engineer research, a model of comprehensive entity of basic research, technology development and engineer inquiry. According to the cooperation agreement, four professors of HK PolyU and IUE’s relevant research groups will work together on getting more scientific research projects, training postgraduates and establishing joint lab of urban environment and health, as well as pushing the combination of production, study and research. It’s a significant event for HK PolyU and IUE to cooperate, which will push forward the science and technology cooperation and transformation with HK, Macau, and Taiwan. It will also play an important role to promote a sustainable development for the west zone of the Straits.
