Invited by Group for Sustainable Landscapes, Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the delegation of Professor Gertrud Jørgensen from University of Copenhagen came to Institute of Urban Environment for academic communication and they made reports respectively.
Director General ZHU Yong-guan made a welcome speech in the academic forum, Professor Gertrud Jørgensen made a report titled “Planning and Design of Habitable Urban Environment – Experience of Copenhagen”, introduced in detail historical course of urban planning and design in Denmark and beneficial effect of bicycle traffic policy for urban development and emphasized that we should consider urban sustainability and People Oriented Concept in urban planning. Associate Professor Christian Fertner made a report titled “Confronted with Carbon Neutral City – Urban Tendency and Reverse Trend in Denmark” and introduced the condition that Europe enhanced energy effiency and promoted green energy during developing compact cities”
Three doctoral students, Johanne Heesche、SUN Lu and YU Zhaowu made reports respectively titled “Reformation of Circular City Suburbs Industrial Landscape”, “Green Belt Effect of Urban Marginal Areas” and “How to plan and design urban green zone to deal with heat island effect and energy conservation in cities”. At last, Teacher YANG De-wei of the group introduced in brief the relevant circumstance of Institute of Urban Environment and research development that their group had made in sustainable landscapes. During the report, the professors and scholars from University of Copenhagen had in-depth communication and discussion with teachers and students of Institute of Urban Environment and expressed their will to collaborate with Institute of Urban Environment.
Gertrud Jørgensen (1959- ) worked as professor of Department of Geoscience and Management of Natural Resource in University of Copenhagen in 2007, and from 2011 to 2015, he worked as Director of Department of Geoscience and Management of Natural Resource in University of Copenhagen. Her research directions are mainly urban development and restoration, urban use and perception, urban policy and planning, strategic planning and design. Professor Gertud hosts several key projects and has published more than 50 papers.
