On October 18th - 19th, the project initiation meeting of Key Project of International Cooperation In Science And Technology Innovation Between Chinese and Japanese Governments “Research Development and Demonstration of Coordination Resource Recycling Technology of Urban Sludge and Kitchen Waste ” was held in Room 207 of Gerneral Building in Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy Sciences (hereinafter referred to as IUE). The project was co-funded by MOST-JST in August 2016. Chinese leading organization is IUE, member organizations are Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huaian Chaimihe Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.; Janpanese leading organization is Gunma University, member organizations are Tohoku University Japan, Japanese Kagoshima Industrial Higher Special University and Japan's New Laxatives University. The project initiation meeting was co-hosted by Chinese project principal, Researcher Wang Yin of IUE and Japanese project principal, Professor Tian Gongzhi of Gunma University. More than 20 experts and research personnel of the two sides attent the meeting.
In the meeting, head of Scientific Research & Cooperation Dept., IUE, Qi Jian firstly extended welcome on behalf on the supporting institution. Later, Researcher Wang Yin introduced in detail project background, technical route, research proposal, research content and achievement goals, division of tasks and the way of project implementation, etc; He put forward that we should carry out extensive exchanges and cooperation between the two sides on environmental protection technology development and innovative talent training taking the joint project study as an opportunity. Professor Tian Gongzhi on behalf on Japanese team introduced Japanese present research basis and had a heated discussion with Chinese research personnel on 6 work packages of the joint project. By the project initiation meeting, the Chinese and Japanese organizations reached consensus on research tasks division, research target, personnel placement and project organization and management mode, which will provide favourable guarantee for subsequent smooth implementation of the project.
