On August 30th, 2016, 2016 urban environment long-term observation seminar host by Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute (CAREERI), CAS, Shanghai Normal University, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS and Institute of Urban Environment (IUE), CAS, was held in Ningbo Urban Environment Observation and Research Station(NUEORS) was held successfully. Guodong Cheng, academician of CAREERI, and Yongguan Zhu, director of IUE, made a speech respectively. Experts attending the meeting listened to basin observing system, basin landscape pattern, ecological safety decision support platform and ecological safety decision support platform and the introduction of development orientation and research work of NUEORS carefully. They also made field trip and gave suggestion as below:
1. Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations have typicality, vulnerability, risky speciality, and plyability which exsits during the development process of china's urban agglomerations. Long-term observation of environment provides reliable data support for expounding the law of evolution of urban ecological system. It is of great significance for strengthening urban ecological security and promoting the sustainable development of the city.
2. Research methods including remote sensing, fixed sample investigation, positioning observation and social economic survey are integrated. The Environmental internet of things observational studies in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations based in Ningbo is in key advancement. It has Demonstration effect and guidance significance for construction and assurance of ecological security in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations.
3. Environmental research in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations is strongly comprehensive. It is in need of collaborative innovation of multidisciplinary, multisectoral. Above-mentioned four institutions reached an agreement in cooperation research in Yangtze River Delta urban ecological security. Taking this project as an opportunity, corresponding cooperation and linkage mechanism is established, scientific research ability is developed, the level of innovation achievements is enhanced.
