Invited by Key laboratory of Urban Pollutant conversion and Research Group of Sewage Ecological Treatment and Recyclin, chairman researcher of National Institute for Environmental Studies of Japan(NIESJ), director of Laboratory of Environmental Restoration Technology, Proffesor Xu Kaiqin visited IUE. And he made a report titled “Sustainable Watershed Management and Water Environmental Restoration by Bio-eco Engineering” on August 2nd.
In the report, Professor Xu introduced policy and experience of water environment management in Japan, water eutrophication and the tendency of basin environmental management measures. At the same time, he made a brief introduction to his research achievements including distributed sewage treatment system of countryside, the system and application of purification tank technology, the application of biological ecological engineering technology in water environment restoration and energy utilization of kitchen waste, etc. He communicated with the teachers and students of IUE attending the lecture actively. The atmosphere in the spot kept warm and high. Through the visit, Researcher Liu Chaoxiang and Professor Xu Kaiqin reached a consensus of deepening cooperation on water ecological restoration of offshore mariculture and the recycling of the livestock and poultry breeding pollution. They will further promote the cooperation study.
