At the invitation of Professor Jingzhu Zhao, assistant professor Junfeng Jiao from University of Texas at Austin visited IUE on Mar. 18th, 2015.  

Dr. Junfeng Jiao delivered an academic lecture “Twitter, Smartphone APPs, Transit Deserts and Urban planning”. The lecture introduced big data collection and analysis, based on Twitter and Smartphone APPs, and the related research of optimizing urban public transportation system planning in detail. The participating research staffs and students discussed with Dr. Jiao in an enthusiastic and harmonious atmosphere.  

Through the visit, academic cooperation between IUE and University of Texas has been laid a good foundation.
