International Workshop on the Environmental Dimension of Antibiotic Resistance was held at IUE from December 5^th to 8^th, theme on the occurrence, transmission and control of antibiotic in the environment. Renowned experts from over 50 countries including the USA, UK and Canada, attended the workshop and discussed on the resistance abundance and diversity of antibiotic, the relationship between antibiotic and its resistance gene, the transmission and spread of antibiotic resistance gene, the setup of gene database, and relevant control measures and policies.
