The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) announced the 2013 winners of TWAS Science Prizes at its 24th General meeting on October 1st, 2013, in Buenos Aires. Prof. Yongguan Zhu has won the 2013 TWAS Science Prize on Agricultural Sciences for his systematic contribution to the understanding of arsenic dynamics in soil-plant systems, and mitigation of arsenic pollution, particularly in rice.
