On June 24th, ZHAN Wenlong, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, inspected IUE. He visited the pre-production lab and discussed with research staff about the relevant experimental progress. After listening to the reports on IUE’s developmental strategies and talent introduction policies by ZHU Yongguan, Director General of IUE and CAI Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, ZHAN spoke highly of IUE’s current development and pointed out that IUE should make better use of multi-disciplinary advantage to tackle complicated urbanization problems. He also encouraged IUE to contribute more to the central and local governments in the aspects of technology applications and talent trainings, apart from customary publishing papers and patents.
