On May 19th, 2010, Prof Zhao of the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences was invited to be the Editor in Chief of the “International Journal of Sustainable Development & World Ecology” by Taylor & Francis Group.

In June 1992, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Afterwards, the “International Journal of Sustainable Development & World Ecology”, first published in 1994, has played a significant role in the field of international sustainable development.
