On Dec 7th, Jin Xiaoming, Director-General of the Department of International Science and Technology Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of China, and Xu Chaoqian, Chief of the Division of International Organizations and Conferences, visited IUE accompanied by Kong Suguang, Deputy Director of the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau. Zhu Yongguan, Vice Director of IUE briefly introduced the main framework and idea of international cooperation and the progress IUE has made since it was constructed. The introduction emphasized two recent developments of cooperation with both the Taiwan Straight Region and developed countries. Vice Director Zhu also expressed the advantages of IUE and brought forward a detailed proposal about applying the international cooperation plan.
Director-General Jin and the other guests agreed with the cooperation idea of IUE, and promised that they would support IUE with necessary funding and support.
