On 27 September 2007, a delegation of the Bureau of Academy – Locality Cooperation led by their Minister Qi Qiang, and accompanied by Zhao Jingzhu, the Director of IUE, inspected the building site of IUE. After this visit, Minister Qi held a conference on the building project of the institute. He praised highly the recent work, provided future directions and made suggestions on how to succeed in the future.
