On 3 March 2008, the Department of Research & Development took charge an internal appraisal meeting about the application of a NSFC (National Natural Sciences Foundation of China) project in IUE.

At the appraisal meeting, each scientific researcher introduced their well-prepared project plans about 2008 NSFC. Through commenting each requisition earnestly, the expert group composed by 5 researchers put forward valuable suggestions to enhance the quality of applications. Finally Zhu Yongguan, Vice Director of IUE, made a concluding comment to this appraisal meeting, and gave the guiding views to the composition of requisitions.
