The CAS Key Laboratory of Urban Environment and Health (hereinafter referred to as "Laboratory") held 2020 Annual Youth Academic Conference in the Institute of Urban Environment on April 21st, 2021. 　　

A total of 24 young researchers from Laboratory gave reports on the theme of "Environmental and Health Effects of Urbanization" and introduced representative research results in 2021. Professor Xinhong Wang and professor Xin Yu from Xiamen University, Jianqiang Su, researcher and director of the laboratory, Jun Yang, researcher and deputy director of the laboratory, and Weiqiang Chen attended the conference as experts to review the researchers’ work. They graded these reports in terms of their relevance to research frontier, scientific significance, the completeness of the research process, the researchers’ reports and replies to questions, the relevance of their research to the research direction of the laboratory, etc. Experts gave comments and exchanged their views with these young researchers.

Dr. Liu and Dr. Wang respectively won the first prizes for their excellent reports on “Construction and Practice of Urban Architecture Metabolism Simulator” and “Research on the PM2.5 Ecological Risk of the Fujian Delta Urban Agglomeration Based on Remote Sensing Retrieval and Machine Learning”. Wenfang Lin, Yaying Li, Youwei Hong, Jun Zuo and Youchi Zhang all won the second prizes for their outstanding presentations.
