On November 18, Clarivate Analytics, the global leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to enable researchers to accelerate discovery, published 2020 Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list. Academician Yong-guan ZHU was selected as one of the Highly Cited Researchers in the field of Environment and Ecology.

The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies scientists and social scientists in one or more of 21 fields who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple papers, highly cited by their peers, during the last decade 2009-2019, which then ranked in the top 1% by citations for their ESI field and year. Approximately 6,400 researchers from more than 60 countries and regions are named Highly Cited Researchers in 2020.
