On February 25, delegations from the Ministry of Education of Kenya, accompanied by Wang Qingfeng, Director of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(SAJOREC,CAS), visited Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences(IUE,CAS).

At the beginning of the symposium, Zhu Yongguan, Deputy Director of IUE, extended a warm welcome to the delegations, and briefed them on the progress of the research achievements IUE had made. Subsequently, Professor Mohamed Hussain Abdil, Senior Advisor of the Cabinet Secretary on International Partnership and Collaborations of Kenya, gave a detailed introduction on Kenya. SAJOREC is committed to promoting the scientific research cooperation between Kenya and its neighboring countries with China, said by Wang Qingfeng. He also expressed that IUE was very active in participating in international cooperation and had achieved outstanding results. He expected to build a bridge between IUE and Kenya's scientific research institutions through this meeting.

At the meeting, all the participants also had an in-depth discussion on the water security cooperation, and reached an agreement to carry out further cooperation in project application, joint postgraduate training and exchange visits of scientific researchers.
