On November 3, the first editorial board meeting of the journal "Watershed Ecology and the Environment" was held in Xiamen at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Shen Yu, the Editor-in-Chief, and 12 board members and 3 invited scholars attended the meeting. Jessica Wang, the publisher of the journal from KeAi publishing, also attended the meeting. The board members fruitfully discussed the theme, research field, development direction, and propaganda strategy for the new journal. They also shared their experiences and successful cases in other periodicals and advised concrete and constructive suggestions for the journal in development, structure, and publicity. The journal needs to attract scholars and readers who work in watershed. “Watershed Ecology and the Environment” is an international journal with the KeAi Publishing. During the first three years, the peer-reviewed papers will be published in an open access mode with fee waive. Scholars and graduates work in watersheds please contribute your research work to the first volume of the new journal in 2019.
