On July 12^th, hosted by Xiamen Bureau of Education, undertaken by Xiamen No. 1 Middle School, 240 teachers and students of The 2016 Annual Xiamen Junior High School Physical Summer Camp and Biological Summer Camp came to IUE for visit and study respectively in the morning and afternoon.
In order to make teachers and students of the camp have a general understanding of urban environmental problems and solutions, learn more about interdisciplinary academic charm of the institute, the institute organized relevant scientific research personnel of environmental electrochemistry, water quality safety, Internet of Things and ecomaterials, etc to make series popular science lectures for the students. The topics were respectively Magical bioelectronics, safety problems of Drinking water, The basic concept and application of environmental Internet of things, Membrane materials and technology, which covered the theory and practice of biological, physical, etc, and made the student benefit a lot.
After the lectures, scientific research staff of IUE led teachers and students of the summer camp to visit Center of Instrument and Equipment, environmental Interner of Things, Pilot Hall of Scientific Research, Environmental Technology Industrilization Research and Development Center. The teachers and students actively interacted with scientific research personnel. Scientific research personnel answered questions of the students with patience. The activity had been a complete success.
After the visit, the teachers and students took a group photo to mark the occasion with scientific research personnel and popular science volunteers.
