On October 19^th, the approval notice of 2016 Annual Cooperation Research Projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Thailand's National Research Council (NRCT): Chinese and Thailand’s River Basin Sustainable Development Field Under The Framework of “The Future Earth” was announced. Institute of Urban Environment (IUE) is approved to undertake two projects, which respectively are “The Water Disaster Risk Impact Assessment and Its Adaptive Watershed Management Countermeasures in Jiulong River and Chao Phraya River Basin” applied by Researcher Cui Shenghui and “Watershed Biogeochemical Change and Its Adaptation Mechanisms Under Pressure of Human Activity: Comparative Research of Jiulong River and Chao Phraya River” applied by Researcher Yu Shen. Project implementation periods both are four years (from January 1st, 2017 to December 31^st, 2020), application fund both are 5 million yuan.
