On the afternoon of May 20th, Enge Wang, vice-president of CAS, came to investigate IUE, and carried on a discussion with the leadership members and part of the researchers of the institute.

Firstly, Enge Wang investigated the research center of air pollution controlling technology, the research center of urban solid waste disposal and resource recovery technology, the research center of composite membrane material, the research center of urban environmental internet of things and the experimental platform of solid waste treatment technology engineering, and inquired ralated work progress from research staffs.

In the following colloquia, Enge Wang listened to the work report of Yongguan Zhu, director of IUE and learned in detail the basic construction of the institute, research progress, international communication and cooperation of the institute with the area.. Hong He, deputy director of IUE, reported development program, reforming measures and facing chances and challenges about constructing the innovative and excellent center of atmospheric environment, CAS. Enge Wang affirmed the achievement obtained during the ten year from the foundation of IUE. He hoped that IUE could catch the developing chances, further strengthened the cooperation inside and outside institute facing main battlefields of the national economy and local requirements, urged to realize the developing aim of the 13th Five-Year Plan of IUE.

During the investigating period, Enge Wang held talks with Jinjia Pei, the mayor of xiamen city.

Xu Zhang, the deputy president of Shanghai Branch,CAS, came with the investigation together.
