On August 14, 2008, the second meeting of strategic research on “Roadmap for the development of ecological and environmental science and technology to 2050” was held in Xiamen. The meeting was coordinated by Pro. Jingzhu Zhao, Director of Institute of Urban Environment, CAS and the chief investigator of this program. Wang Wenyuan, section chief of Bureau of Planning & Strategy made an important speech representing the CAS.
Pro.Yongguan Zhu, vice director of IUE made a review report of former research and put forward a primary technology routine and a whole routine. Later other researchers made comprehensive discussions and set up an arrangement of further research.
