A cooperation agreement was made between the Institute of Urban Environmental (IUE), Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Florida，USA  on Jan 31, 2008.

The primary objective of this agreement is the development of cooperation between the University of Florida and IUE, which will enhance the academic interchange between the two institutions. Recognizing the importance of mutual collaboration and the contributions to society made by institutes of higher education and research, the parties desire to promote exchange between the faculty and students as well as the exchange of academic and research information.
