The Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of sciences celebrated its anniversary on 4 July 2007. The anniversary celebration of the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the innovation culture big game commendation meeting convened on the afternoon of 3 July 2007.

First of all, Prof. Zhao Jingzhu reflected on the development course of the Institute in the past year and introduced the situation in detail about the location choice of this institute, memo and agreement signing, student recruitment, personnel employment, research exploitation and the construction of the new development areas of the institute in all facets, which improved everyone’s knowledge about the development of the Institute. Meanwhile, Mr. Zhao emphasized the role, function and meanings of building the Institute culture of innovation, and he also gave a full affirmation to all personnel and graduates of the institute who showed the institute spirit - loyalty and responsibility, and praised their achievements. He said that the institute would go on improving and strengthening the building of the innovative culture.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Zhao announced the names of people whose research received a prize in the anniversary innovation culture big game of Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of sciences.
