On August 7  2007, the Delegation of Cross-Strait Sustainable Development from Taiwan Island came to our institute for academic exchange and visitation. In the communion meeting, Director Zhao Jingzhu gave the visiters a show of public homage and welcome. He elaborated the basic construction, the employment, the main research field, and the direction of the development of the Institute Urban of Environment. Then, the professors of the Delegation of Cross-Strait Sustainable Development from Taiwan made three academic reports. They were “Analysis of Policy Integration to Support Production of Energy Crops and Biodiesel” (by Prof. Huang Zonghuang), “The Promotion of Green Science and Technology” (by Prof. Gu Yang), and “The Cross-Strait Sustainable Development On the Urbanism and Ecological City in Taiwan” (by Prof. Huang Shuli).

Meanwhile, the two parties communicated deeply on the way and content of cooperation, and came to an agreement primarily.
