Invited by Prof. Zhao Jingzhu, Director of Institute of Urban Environment, CAS, academician Huang Ronghui made a special trip to IUE on 17 September 2007. Prof Huang held a discussion with the key researchers in the institute and the principal of the management department.

CAS academician Prof. Huang Ronghui visited the offices and laboratories in the institute at first. Then, Prof. Zhao introduced the construction progress and long-term development planning of the institute to the guest in the later symposium.

Prof Huang Ronghui fully admired the achievements the Institute of Urban Environment had made over the past year, and he made many valuable comments and suggestions to subject development directions, key research areas, talents introductions, research project applications, laboratory constructions etc.
