As an administrative sector on scientific research, the Department of Science and Technology holds the following functions: management of research projects and funds, construction of scientific and technological innovation platform, application of S&T awards as well as implementation of institute's confidentiality management system. The office is also responsible for keeping the faculty of the institute well informed of the latest policies and tendencies on science and technology and optimizing various resources for certain projects. Moreover, it also conducts the activities of foreign affairs and is responsible for the asset management of scientific research equipment of IUE.
